This is a very common question. The metal roof must be installed on your “primary residence” between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2016.

The tax credit for energy efficiency is available for improvement made to a home that you live at most of the time. The home must be located in the United States. It can include a house, houseboat, mobile home, cooperative apartment, condominium, and a manufactured home.

What Qualifies for a Metal Roof?
